  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix plus any ingredients on box to help make the cake
  • For the marshmallow buttercream frosting:
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • tiny pinch of salt
  • For the buttercream frosting:
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • For the decorations:
  • eyeball sprinkles
  • Mini chocolate chips
  • chocolate sprinkles
  • black licorice
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips melted


  1. Prepare the cupcakes using the instructions on the cake mix, distributing the batter among 12 cupcake liners. Bake and funky completely before decorating.

Marshmallow Frosting

  1. Add most of the frosting ingredients to large metal or glass bowl more than a small saucepan of simmering water. Beat the constituents with the electric mixer until stiff and doubled in space. Take away the frosting with the heat and continue beating until cooled.

Buttercream Frosting
